Kentucky Basketball

Since birth I have been a Kentucky basketball fan. My dad has been a huge UK fan my entire life and most of his. I was never forced to like UK, but naturally I gravitated towards them. UK has experienced some great basketball moments in my lifetime. The Unforgettables and Final Four in 92. A National Championship in 96. Another championship in 98. Number one ranking in 2002-03, and an elite eight apperance in 03. Since I've been old enough to understand and comprehend the college game well, UK hasn't been real hot. They even fell into the NIT last year. But that has all changed this year. Finally, a team to get excited about. With veteran talent like Patrick Patterson and Darius Miller to freshman sensations John Wall, Demarcus Cousins and Eric Bledsoe Uk fans are sure to not be disappointed. Oh, and a coach by the name of John Calapari. With a number 1 ranking and a 20-1 start, this is the happiest I've ever been about Kentucky basketball.

Newspapers.

Newspapers. and the media......
Newspapers do not care who they screw over.
They just want a good story, that looks exciting. 90% of details
you read in your local newspaper are either journalistically enhanced
or completely incorrect. Newspapers have a tendency to ignore the
journalism ethic rules that are supposed to be enforced strictly. I love it
most whenever a mistake is made. Not one single person, journalist,
editor, publicist, will take the blame. They send it right down the line
to the next guy.

I guess you could call this a rant. I have always hated newspapers and media and will continue my disgust for them most likely forever.

Snow...the right amount.

I have never really been a fan of cold weather at all. In fact, I can safely say I dislike most aspects of the cold. However, one thing I do enjoy about cold, snow. Snow is great when it comes in the right amount, just like a lot of things. Not too much and not too little. About 4 to 5 inches is just right. You see, whenever there is snow, I like to act like a fool. But acting like a fool, you need just enough snow to be safe. Whenever there is like an inch of snow covering the frozen ground, acting like a fool isn't worth it. This weekend, we got to experience the right amount of snow. I spent plenty of time riding my fourwheeler, ramping my fourwheeler, almost flipping my fourwheeler, pulling my brother behind my fourwheeler, etc. Also, I went with a friend to his family's golf course and were able to sled down the massive hills. We ended up making about a 4 foot tall ramp midway down the steepest hill. Needless to say, I have a few bruises and sore muscles today.

Lyrics

Some of my favorite lyrics.

"We don't touch the ground see a cloud with my name it,Only ez-widers, please no cigars for me and my gang Fool I'm a legend in these streets that's how I do my thang And Don't where the fitted, I got the city on my chain" -Wiz Khalifa

"Yall don't owe respect to me and I don't like apologies, so diss me till your satisfied I swear it doesn't bother me, sticks and stones will break my bones and bullets won't reflect off me but words and insults only showing the world how yall respecting me" -Gucci

"Man I can hardly wait got a date with miss success and I can’t stand her up no they don’t understand us cuz, they say we too material" -Wiz Khalifa

Day Today

The following is a detailed account of what Hunter Rowe did January 31, 2010...
Aproximately at 9:15 AM I woke up and took a shower. I was in the shower for about 10 minutes. After taking a shower, I got dressed and left my house at about 9:36 to go into Owensboro. I arrived in Owensboro with my father, brother and friend at about 10 AM. We proceeded to go to McDonalds and eat breakfast there. At 10:22 we left McDonalds and went to church. Church lasted from 10:50 to 12:05. At 12:10 me and my brother and father left Owensboro to go back to our home in Calhoun. From 12:30 till about 7 is all a blur. I really can't seem to remember what I did. From 7-10 I watched TV. At about 10 I got on the computer because I forgot I had a ton of online homework. I have been on the computer ever since.

That was a detailed account of what Hunter Rowe did January 31, 2010.

How to get rich quick.

Know someone.
Win the lottery.
Sing something crazy on American Idol.
Sue someone.
Count cards at a casino.
Be related to someone rich.
Post a dumb video on YouTube.
Look like a fool, grab a microphone and sing (3/4 of musicians today).
Sell old antiques on eBay.
Marry someone rich.
Rob a bank (not advising you to do so).
Be sexy.

my mother is on facebook...

Its official..my mom has a facebook. It is such a strange thing. Never in a million years would I have thought I would recieve a friend request from my mom. Wow. The worst part is, she never even told me she had a facebook. She just sent me a request one day. Accept or not accept? You can't not accept your mom. Honestly, what would that look like? Of course, I accepted my mom with a little reluctancy. It's not that I dislike my mom or anything like that. I love my mom. It's just, the last place I could go to in order to get away from my parents, she has found. Well, it can't be too bad, I'm pretty sure I don't post any inappropriate material on facebook. It has been a few months since me and my mom have been "friends" via the internet. I must say it hasn't been too bad. Although, she has left a few comments on some of my friends posts informing them that their moms would not be proud to see what they post. That was a little awkward but hey, life is full of awkward moments. I'll let you know if anything exciting happens.

Insults..again

Many times, we as human beings let others words
and insults have a very negative affect on us. Insults
come from people who do not care about you. Why should
you or I worry about an insult from someone who means
nothing in our lives? It really doesn't make sense, however
we let the insults hit home. Someone who insults you often
times knows hardly anything about you. Also, insults are given
by those who the most insecure. Don't let others useless words
change the way you go about things.
"Sticks and stones will break my bones and bullets won't reflect
off me, but words and insults are only showing the world how
yall respecting me" -Gucci Mane

Music #2

I listen to alot of music.
Not many different kinds, mostly just rap.
But, I do listen to alot of different styles of rap.
I go through stages and cycles of what I listen to.
Recently, I've listened to alot of laid back and soothing music.
Stuff like Wiz Khalifa and Curren$y.
and Kid Cudi, always have to listen to my dude.
The music isn't too loud, no deep base booming.
Relaxing, causing you to think about what they say.
I've been listening to these more lyrical artists because I've had
much more time on my hand as of late.
I can listen to the songs more and more and try to understand what
they mean better.
Curren$y is known as one of the last lyrical artists still in the rap game.
Mainstream game anyways.
Wiz Khalifa blew up on the internet.
Kid Cudi is self-made.
All 3 of these guys took the independent route.
The made it on their own. All put in hard work.
They didn't use people they knew to get famous and known.
That's a big reason I listen to them.
Look them up, I promise you wont be disappointed.
